You are in History of candy

Interván began its activity in January 1972, in a plant of 300 m2.
It started with the manufacture and marketing of these products, initially focused on selling to candy stores, tearooms and pastry shops, and then on wholesale distribution also in 1976.
During the following years Interván increased its range of products, and also the sales. Supported by the desire of growth and innovation, it consolidated between national and candy manufacturers and began to extend its business beyond the borders of Spain.

In 1991, and in order to grow, Interván gave a portion of its business to food group SOS ARANA ALIMENTACION,S.A, (Today GRUPO SOS – SOS GROUP) with leading brands in the market: SOS rice, CUETARA Biscuits, Carbonell Olive oil, Pictolín sweets, El Monaguillo, etc.. This financial backing Interván accounted for an increase in its turnover, growing the sales year after year.
During these years Interván bet heavily on the sweets without sugar, being one of the pioneers in this segment in Spain. This has made today Interván one of the national leaders in the manufacture of sugar-free candy.

In 2000 Interván gets the brand Pictolín, leading brand in Spain balsamic candy. This allows Interván to consolidate its presence in the segment of balsamic candy, and increase its already wide range of products.
Interván has now modern facilities, with the latest generation machinery, which can produce a multitude of products: hard candy, soft candy, lollypops… All this with the most rigorous quality checks, both internally, as external (ISO 9001:2000).
